Vitamin Injections vs. Oral Supplements

What’s Better for Nutrient Absorption?

If you’re taking daily vitamin pills but not feeling the results, you’re not alone. When vitamins are taken orally, they have to travel through your digestive system before entering the bloodstream. Along the way, much of their nutritional value is lost due to stomach acid, enzymes, and fillers, leaving your body with only a fraction of the intended benefits.

Vitamin injections are a more efficient and effective way to get the nutrients your body needs. Because they bypass the digestive system entirely, these intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (Sub-Q) vitamin shots deliver nutrients straight into your bloodstream, allowing your body to absorb up to 90–100% of the vitamins.*

This means faster results, better absorption, and no need to remember to take a daily pill.

Whether you're looking to boost energy levels, strengthen your immune system, improve skin and hair health, or support overall wellness, vitamin injections offer a clean, powerful alternative to traditional supplements. They're ideal for people with nutrient deficiencies, chronic fatigue, or anyone wanting a more direct and effective way to feel their best.

Benefits of Vitamin Injections:

  • Up to 100% nutrient absorption*

  • Faster, longer-lasting results

  • Bypasses digestive issues and nutrient loss

  • Convenient in-clinic or at-home administration

  • Supports immunity, energy, metabolism, and more

If you're searching for a more effective way to get your daily vitamins, vitamin injections may be the solution. Experience the benefits of high-absorption vitamins and give your body the nourishment it truly deserves.

How To Do A Subcutaneous Injection

(VITAMIN SYRINGES MUST BE REFRIGERATED)

Performing a subcutaneous injection at home can be simple and safe when done correctly. Follow these easy steps to ensure proper technique and maximize comfort and vitamin absorption:

Step-by-Step Instructions for Subcutaneous Injections

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection.

  2. Let the syringe sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. This helps the vitamin solution become more comfortable to inject.

  3. Choose the best injection site—typically the thigh or upper buttocks. Clean the area with an alcohol pad and let it dry completely.

  4. Prepare your dose. Use a prefilled pen or draw the correct amount into a syringe using sterile technique.

  5. Pinch the skin to create a firm surface, usually about 1 inch of tissue.

  6. Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle or a 45-degree angle.

  7. Inject the vitamin solution slowly by pressing the plunger until the syringe is empty.

  8. Withdraw the needle gently. If you notice any bleeding, apply light pressure and cover with a bandage.

  9. Dispose of the needle and syringe safely in a proper sharps container.

How And Where To Inject Subcutaneous Vitamin

Subcutaneous Vitamin Injection Recommendations

Where to Inject: Best Sites for Subcutaneous Injections
The ideal injection site depends on your body composition. Choose areas with the most subcutaneous fat—the common rule of thumb is: “If you can pinch an inch, you can inject.” (Refer to diagram for suggested areas.)

Because vitamin solutions can be slightly thicker than other medications, we recommend injecting into the front of the thigh or the upper outer quadrant of the buttocks. These areas typically offer more comfort during and after the injection.

What to Expect After a Subcutaneous Vitamin Injection

Vitamin injections are generally safe, but like any medical treatment, minor side effects may occur. Most symptoms resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Here are some possible side effects and risks:

  • Mild redness, swelling, or soreness at the injection site

  • Temporary pain or tenderness around the area for 1–2 days

  • Risk of localized infection at the injection site

  • Rare cases of lipodystrophy (changes in fat tissue, such as lumps or dents)

  • Allergic reactions—seek immediate medical attention if severe

By following proper injection techniques and using recommended sites, you can maximize absorption and minimize discomfort.

We Recommend Your Shots Every 1-2 Weeks for Maximum Benefits
